STATS Limited have a vacancy for a Senior Geophysicist at their St Albans Head Office, Hertfordshire, UK. Their role will be to manage and develop an existing geophysical services section within the STATS Ground Engineering Division. The Senior Geophysicist will be responsible for overseeing and undertaking the preparation of quotes and proposals, management of projects, data processing and interpretation, reporting and supervision of a team of junior geophysicists. They will also be responsible for marketing of geophysical services within the UK and abroad. The successful candidate will possess a good first degree (2i or better) in the geosciences, and a MSc/PhD in a relevant area of geophysics. They will also have a minimum of 5 years commercial experience in shallow environmental and engineering and have an excellent knowledge of the UK geophysics market. Candidates should also possess significant competence in a broad range of mainstream (Office 2000, CorelDraw, CAD) and geophysical software packages (RADAN-NT, RES2DINV, MagMap etc). Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
